Ultimately, it comes down to the person capable of calming your mind when it’s threatening to detonate, the one who remembers to hydrate your cells when all the salt and water have escaped via your traitorous tear ducts, the boy who wraps his arms around the ribcage that protects a heart and lungs which move much too rapidly to sustain themselves.
I live, naked and nervous and curious, at the peak of a waterfall.
